Getting Started
Do you want to support your community but don’t know where
to start? The Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation can help you develop
and implement a giving plan that meets your needs.
Here’s a just a few of the questions we’ll start with to
help you determine how to best achieve your vision of a better tomorrow.
- What are your goals? Reach out to
family members, friends, and financial advisors to start outlining what you
hope to accomplish with your gift. DSACF staff members can sit down with you as
well to help determine if your needs can be met through any one of our many
gift giving options.
- Should you give now or later? Based on your goals and financial
situation, we can help you decide if you should establish a fund, give to an
existing fund, give a gift through your will, or through other planned giving
strategies.
- What should you give? Working with you, we can talk about the
different assets you can use to make a gift that provide the most benefit to
you and the community. Whether it is cash, stock, real estate, life insurance, or some other
asset, there are plenty of options for you to choose from.
- How involved do you want to be? By working with the Duluth Superior
Area Community Foundation, your options on involvement after you make a gift
are endless. You can recommend grants regularly using our online tool just for
donors—Donor Central, choose a field of interest fund, make an unrestricted
gift, or work with us on a customized combination that best meets your need.
